Statement
The medium I use is purified Beeswax with dried pigment or oil paint, Damar crystals (tree resin)for hardening.
I heat the wax to a molten point where I can apply the wax as liquid to a hard surface such as masonite or wood.
Each layer is fused to the next with a heat gun, thus a commitment to the composition evolves.
Beginning instinctively, I try to understand the random details intellectually as I design the composition.
I enjoy the process of creation through a multitude of techniques such as ironing, carving, embedding materials,
stamping, drawing and painting to name a few. I feel that I can capture time and the human spirit through the process.
When the composition feels right, I stop. I am propelled by emotions and the desire to share.
